Thank you. I hesitate to accept this award because I do not think what I have done should be noteworthy. I am simply one man doing what he thought was right. I believe you can ask for a man's best work and expect no less.
But simply doing the right thing has become the exception to the rule. So I have chosen to use this opportunity to speak to you. I cannot and certainly will not expect you to change the course of your lives simply by hearing these words. I have lived fat too long in this world to expect such simplicity.

I never liked...I never liked music, until I heard you singI never liked...
I never liked talking, until I saw you listen
I never liked people, until I met you
I never liked sunset, until you watched with me
I never liked heights, until you climbed a tree
I never liked dancing, until you asked me to
Then I remembered I don't like these things,
I just love you.

OlympusA starless night filled the sky. A few gray clouds drifted without hurry or care on an unseen wind. Gentle waves rocked the solitary ship. Dazzling lights, whirling arrays, and pointed antennas adorned its cold exterior. White paint on the stern boldly proclaimed, "7-2521 Olympus". Winged stallions waited silently on the deck, their wings folded. Men scattered across the ½ mile stretch, obeying invisible voices whispering in their ears. The powers-that-be were not to be questioned. Only these powers- these gods- did not wear long flowing robes or goldOlympus

The Truth in RunningRun. That was the last thought. Then there was the road and the sky. Pavement, dirt, sand, it didn't matter. Only the motions mattered. Only they endured. The Truth in Running
Left, right, left, right. Up, down, up, down. In, out, in, out. These are the simple constants. Everything else is just a derivative of these fluctuating patterns. There had been more once...
Confusion, uncertainty, and complexity had obscured the simple truth. I knew the Truth. 2 + 2 is 4. Haste makes waste.&nbs

The ExI tried to ignore the blood-red stain spreading inexorably across my white skirt. The maitre’d fussed about, offering me napkins and apologies by turns. With the company I was wont to keep, it occurred to me that I was a fool for not having bought shares in White King. It seemed an interminable age before the waiter finally left with a promise to bring another bottle. I asked if he could make it a dry white, this time. The Ex
I turned my attentions back to the man sitting across the table from me, forcing myself to meet his eyes. Sharp green met n

The DressOver the years, people have gone to truly extraordinary lengths in pursuit of fashion. A catalog of peculiar gowns would fill several volumes, even without getting into bizarre hats, wigs, gloves, codpieces, shoes, eyeglasses, and all manner of other demented accessories, and I will not so tax the reader except to mention a few highlights. The Dress
Dresses of strange materials are not uncommon. Among the oddest were the mycorrhiza gown of Milicent von Pratt, a wrap of finest fungal threads. This sensational outfit required almost two weeks to put on, requiring Lady von Pratt to paint herself with an agar and compost growth medium and lay
